The Journey Begins... Chronicling the adventures of Eric and Christina, along with their cat, George, as they make their pilgrimage from Charlottesville, Virginia, 2,812 miles to San Francisco, California. Why? Despite a deep love for all things C-ville, after much hemming and hawing, Eric made the difficult decision to pursue a career elsewhere. Fair-haired Christina, having fallen in head-over-heels with this hard-headed Italian, has chosen to follow her love to the ends of the earth, or, uh, San Francisco. After many sleepless nights, brought on by the arduous task of planning a cross-country move, they are ready, George in tow, to make the cross-country trek.

Updates from Christina... Monday, July 24, 2006 Right now, paring down the boxes and boxes of belongings. We have to fit everything in a 6x7x8 box! All I can say is, I love my shoes. Not throwing away a single pair. Eric has a job, I have been looking on Craigslist, and have found a bunch that interest me. Yea! I also found an accounting program at San Fran State. I'll have to wait a year for in-state tuition, but I think I can still take a couple classes in the meantime through PVCC and NOVA. I'm really excited about finding a school; I was kind of worried about that. Best news: we have an apartment! It's a three-month lease in Mountain View; hoping to move to the city once we are there and can actually look at places in person. I'm not sure I trust renting via the internet! We're leaving Tuesday, August 1. Nothing much exciting until then!! Here's a map of the Bay area:
